Chef Jose Bamaca
Jose Bamaca is the president of 918 Maples Group and a Tulsa-based Latino entrepreneur whose journey reflects grit, cultural pride, and business vision. After moving to Tulsa in 2003, Jose began working in restaurant kitchens—an environment he had known since his teenage years in Mexico. For more than a decade, he honed his skills across kitchens and catering operations before launching his own venture in 2017.
Today, Jose is part of a growing wave of Latino business owners in Tulsa who are expanding into new markets, sharing their culture through food, and creating economic opportunities across the community. Currently serving as a board member of The Tulsa Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a member of The Greater Tulsa Area Hispanic/Latinx Affairs Commission (GTAHLAC).
